Real estate licensing in Queensland is administered by the Office of Fair Trading, under the Property Occupations Act 2014.

Agents choose a 1 or 3 year licence term at application. All states require agents to hold client money in a designated trust account, separate from business funds, with misuse treated as a serious offence.
