About the QPSea (Queensland Police Service entrance assessment)

Queensland Police recruitment includes the QPSea (Queensland Police Service entrance assessment), administered by ACER, delivered on behalf of Queensland Police Service via the qps.acer.org portal. The assessment covers three scored components: Literacy, Reasoning Ability (abstract and cognitive pattern questions) and Writing, run over about 1 hour 45 minutes.

QPSea does not include a separately scored numeracy or digital literacy section, current official QPS recruitment material states these are not part of the assessment.

Important: Most Australian police forces enforce a stand-down period, typically 6 to 12 months, if you fail or score below the required benchmark before you can reapply. Queensland Police's exact current policy should be checked on the official recruitment site before you apply.
