About the New South Wales Learner Licence Knowledge Test
Before you can hold a learner licence in New South Wales, you must pass a multiple-choice knowledge test administered by Service NSW.
The current format is 45 questions, split into a 15-question General Knowledge section and a 30-question Road Safety section. You must score at least 12/15 on General Knowledge and 29/30 on Road Safety, an effective overall requirement of 41/45.
