the ACT Practice Tests

The ACT runs its own licensing systems for several roles through Access Canberra: real estate agents under the Agents Act 2003, RSA and security under their own ACT-specific frameworks. Two categories are deliberately not listed separately here: ACT Policing is provided directly by the Australian Federal Police with no separate territory-specific recruitment test, and ACT motorcycle learners sit the exact same Road Rules Knowledge Test as car learners. Where the underlying test genuinely differs, TestReady AU builds a dedicated ACT page rather than a generic Australia-wide one.

Fire

ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA): ACT Fire and Rescue recruitment includes an aptitude test covering verbal, numerical, abstract and spatial reasoning.

Corrections

ACT Corrective Services (ACTCS): Correctional Officer recruitment for the Alexander Maconochie Centre runs twice yearly, in February and August.

Security

Access Canberra: Security industry licensing in the ACT is issued under the Security Industry Act 2003.

Traffic Controller

WorkSafe ACT: Traffic control work requires the RIIWHS205E unit of competency, audited for compliance by WorkSafe ACT.

Real Estate

Access Canberra: Real estate, business and stock and station agent licensing is handled under the Agents Act 2003.

RSA

Access Canberra: RSA certification covers the SITHFAB021 unit of competency, valid for 3 years in the ACT.

Learner

Road Ready: The ACT is unique in requiring the Road Ready program before the Road Rules Knowledge Test, which also covers motorcycle learners.
